Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Career History:
I’ve been working for Bovis Lend Lease for 8 years. I have been working outside of the UK since 1977, mostly in the Middle East but also in Gibraltar, US and the Caribbean.
I started as a graduate trainee with John Laing back in 1968 and have been working in the industry ever since, mostly with major UK contractors / project managers.

Can you give an example of a project you have worked on recently?
The mixed-use / theme park development is for a Saudi / Kuwait client. It includes an indoor theme park, four hotels, a retail zone and 500 residences. It has an estimated build value of $1 million. We have moved through the Master Planning stage and we are now entering the concept, schematic and detailed design stages.

What would you tell someone who is thinking of joining Bovis Lend Lease?
I have no experience of Bovis Lend Lease outside of the Middle East. In this region I would say they are a very good employer.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Relaxing, travel and cooking.
