Bovis Lend Lease Named Victoria's Master Builder
Bovis Lend Lease is Victoria’s Master Builder for 2009 after the iconic Melbourne Recital Centre and Melbourne Theatre Company Project was recognised as the most impressive project for the year.

The award was presented to Bovis Lend Lease at the Master Builders Association of Victoria’s (MBAV) Excellence in Construction Awards at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne on 1 August.

Bovis Lend Lease General Manager – Victoria/South Australia/Tasmania, Mr Geoff Moore, said the award is a great achievement that represents the pinnacle of recognition in the construction industry.

“The success of this project reflects the passion and commitment of the entire team, which included the client, Major Projects Victoria, design team leaders, ARM, numerous quality trade contractors and the Bovis Lend Lease management team, who are all very proud to have been part of this landmark project. Bovis Lend Lease has leveraged its considerable global expertise in technically complex projects to create an iconic building that is instantly recognisable and already synonymous with Melbourne,” Mr Moore said.

The Master Builder of the Year Award win was the highlight from a very successful night for Bovis Lend Lease at the MBAV Excellence in Construction Awards. The company also won the Best Sustainable Energy Project for The Gauge and the Excellence in Health & Safety award for ANZ Centre. Both projects are located in the vibrant Victoria Harbour precinct.

The Melbourne Recital Centre and Melbourne Theatre Company Project also won the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings Over $80 million award.

Bovis Lend Lease now goes on to contest the Master Builder’s National Awards in November.
